OUR MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of Astral Drive Elementary as a cooperative partnership of students, staff and an involved informed community is to develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary for each student to positively meet the challenges of a rapidly changing world. This is achieved through a strong, innovative and diversified curriculum in a supportive, safe learning environment.

Objectives:

All learners will experience an innovative and challenging curriculum emphasizing problem solving, decision making and communication skills;

Our students will have the support and cooperation of peers, staff, parents and the community as valued partners and active participants in their education;

All students will be challenged to meet their potential in an environment that emphasizes security, safety and personal worth.

Our school community works closely together to provide an exciting learning environment for our students. Astral Drive boasts an integrated French Immersion program as well as many extra curricular activities such as chess, choir, band and intramurals that enhance our students' learning experiences. Many of these activities are made possible through the efforts of valued volunteers. Through the joint efforts of the teachers and parents of the students at Astral Drive Elementary School, our Parent Teacher Organization has been able to enhance the activities and lives of our students.
