ASTRAL DRIVE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

The Halifax Regional School Board has undertaken a long-range planning process aimed at engaging the public in a constructive conversation about the future of our schools.

The Imagine Our Schools project is well underway, with key community meetings scheduled to take place in both Halifax and Dartmouth in the coming week. Phase One takes in 61 schools, including all of the schools within the following families: Citadel High, Dartmouth High, Prince Andrew, Cole Harbour District, and Auburn Drive .

The HRSB is committed to community based input, and is looking for innovative ideas for great schools. The consultations will provide an open forum to allow the community to participate actively in determining the vision and direction for schools that can deliver an education for today and tomorrow.

The meeting for the residents of Dartmouth , Cole Harbour , Eastern Passage and the Prestons takes place on Tuesday, Nov. 13 from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Nova Scotia Community College – Akerley Campus, 21 Woodlawn Road , Dartmouth .
